Fabulous, Fantastic, Freeing, Finish to 2026

Time management, waiting, perfection, transitions, making the best of where you areYes, You read it correctly – I’m talking about 2026, the end of 2026. As we have been dipping our toes into the waters of another year (In Numerology a Year 1), we’ve been thinking about goals, vision boards, vacation plans, and career navigation. At the Unity Spiritual Center of Vero Beach that I attend they had us write a letter to ourselves expressing where we (hoped) we would be by the mid point of the year. I chose, with some trepidation, FAITH as my #WhiteStoneWord for 2026. Trepidation because I’ve noted that whichever word I’ve chosen tends to bring on challenges and experiences that highlight that word.

So where would I like to be at the end of 2026? Where, with whom, and what would I (we) want to have as a part  of this BLINK that is our existence on this plane?

In the #CourseOfMiracles discussion group I’ve been meeting with on Wednesday mornings here in Downtown Fort Pierce, there was a quote this AM that suggested, “A healed mind does not plan. It carries out the plans which it receives through listening to Wisdom that is not its own.” (Lesson 135, paragraph 12). While that tends to trigger denial in the fear based psyche of a long term planner – self insured in my 20’s, will and trusts set up, savings and investments, all those things that “responsible people” have, I actually operate most of my life by listening intently to where I am directed to move, speak, take action. I revert to journaling, prayer, meditation, creating ART,  as ways to access deeper sources of wisdom. Perhaps that has been the blessing of having unreliable adults in my life – I learned LONG ago that the wisdom I (and those adults) possessed left much to be desired. I found solace and counsel in the paths of NATURE, the still, quiet voice of intuition, and the whispers of ideas and warnings from…

That said I/We do live in this world of mortgages and credit cards, bank accounts, and politics, and choosing to be “In the world yet not of it,” can feel like a luxury. So perhaps goals can be more thought of as suggestions to the Universe, intentions to keep our minds and hearts directed to those things that make us feel excited, inspired, encouraged. If what the Divine offers up isn’t exactly what we’ve imagined, finding gratitude and appreciation for both that which is, and checking in with the feedback we’ve received seems a healthy way to engage.

Vision Board

Back to the title – Intentions for exciting opportunities, in my business who’s ideas have finally been coalescing – Artmaking as a Mindfullness Tool, to travel, perhaps another RV road trip, or booking that trip to France, more teaching, more FUN adventures, better health, all of these and more are touchstones now.

Our time is limited, our joys can be fleeting, maybe today is a day to reconnect to what it is YOU (I/We) want our lives to be about.

Just a Thought 😉

Tiny New Shoots of Green

AffirmationArt, AffirmationsArt, Art & Spirit, Affirmations, Art as Spiritual PracticeSeptember and October have always felt most appropriate to me as a NEW Year. Perhaps because of all the years of “Back To School,” indoctrination, perhaps because my entry to this existence was in the Fall, and perhaps there is some cell deep connection to Judaism whose New Year celebration of Rosh Hashanah taking place in this vicinity. In any case it has always been true for me. I have been feeling the faint glimmerings, the tiny disturbances in the Earth that portend new growth. I can almost feel/see the new, tiny shoots of green of a new iteration of my life beginning to sprout and reach up towards the light.

I welcome it, am tenderly protective, and somewhat in trepidation. Who knows where this turn of the wheel will lead me (& mine).

I’ve been reaching back, digging in again to the Jack Canfield book & process, “The Success Principles.” I have been reviewing the art I have been producing for the past two years through new eyes, and I have been doing quite a bit of culling & sorting our possessions from our “Old Life,” in MD. Sixty officially as of midnight, I am truly beginning to let go of some of the old baggage of the past 10 years while allowing myself to connect to the various learning that I have been assimilating.

To those ends I have set before myself several tasks (to be worked into a rather tight caretaking schedule). One is to complete, appreciate, assimilate, and share the Train The Trainer program skills (through the Jack Canfield folks). Two, to expose myself and my art to the public marketplace in a local craft show. Three, is to start the practice of Public Speaking again through my Toastmasters Club, and Four, to start practicing, out loud, the French language with like minded individuals.

Tiny shoots, and, rich, juicy, potential blooms for sure. So here is to SIXTY years on this planet and hopefully many more, exploring, dreaming, growing, and of course having a great time too!AffirmationArt, AffirmationsArt, Art & Spirit, Affirmations, Art as Spiritual Practice

Alka Bromily & Jessica Graves present:

A Vision Board Exploration Workshop

It’s wonderful to have friends that share the same vision of possibilities that you do. I have been wanting to create a physical #VisionBoard for almost a year. That’s about the time that I started working with a local #MasterMind group using Jack Canfield’s “Success Principles” as a base for our explorations. It’s great work, the primary take-a-way being, you attract what you focus your attention on. Not a new concept, not even the 1st I’d heard of it. For some reason, timing, circumstance, whatever, this time I really ‘HEARD’ it. Being artistically inclined the appeal of creating a vision board is powerful, the editing, the process though, are new to me.

That’s why I was so excited to learn that Alka was to be teaching, (perhaps guiding is a better choice of words) one of her Vision Board Explorations with another friend Jessica Graves, a very talented artist (painting, jewelry, you name it). Imagine my delight!

A #VisionBoard is so much more than just a fun art project though. It can be a very powerful tool to connect & harness your unconscious mind on to those directions, ideas, and objects that you desire. By looking at your vision daily, you connect with those good feelings that having what want will bring. I heard it said by Mary Morrissey, life & prosperity coach, that you. “Can’t get to your goals, you have to come from them.” A Vision Board gives you a way to materialize just what your dreams and goals look like. A #VisionBoard becomes a sign post for your desired life & goals.

So here it is, hope that you will decide to come spend an evening exploring your dreams with us…
